Creating The Future with Derek Long

Hello! My name is Derek. I am 10 years old and I am in 5th grade at Millersville Elementary.   I have a chance to go to the National Youth Leadership Forum June 2016  in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. I was nominated to go as a representative for Millersville Elementary School. I will have the opportunity to join other students my age from around the region and do some pretty cool stuff .  I'm told that it will enhance five life skills for me to success: communication, critical thinking, creativity, team building and goal setting. Sounds pretty cool right? The coolest part though is there are hands on workshops for CSI crime-solving skills, design challenges in a engineering  with robots and bridges, and, medicine in exploring  the human body. Sounds pretty awesome doesn't it?!! 
I realize his is a huge honor to be able to go to the  National Youth Leadership Forum.  I'm completely stoked and excited about it and I'd really, really love to go.  But like all things, there's always a cost of some kind. This one is a tuition fee. A small price to pay for a great start to the future right?!  I'd love to go. I can see myself doing great things. This is just the start!!  Can you help me get there?
