The World Sheepdog Trials will be held in the Netherlands in 13-16 July 2017, and I am thrilled to say that I have been selected, along with my homebred and trained dog, Nell, to represent the United States. I’ve dreamed of representing my country at an international event for as long as I can remember, and I am so thrilled and honored to be a member of the strong US team.
The World Sheepdog Trials is a truly international competition held every three years. Over 20 countries are represented, and it represents the rare opportunity of putting yourself out there with the very best in the sheepdog world. And for the first time in its history, the World Sheepdog Trials is being held outside of Great Britain.
In order to acclimate Nell and me to the terrain and sheep, we plan on arriving early and participating in the Belgian International Open and the Dutch International Open, which means I’ll be in Europe for approximately three weeks. I will be using funds raised through this campaign to help offset some of the costs of flights, car rentals, entry fees, and accommodations. Any support you can give me will be greatly appreciated as I realize one of my true life goals.
