Derek's hearing

I don't  normally do this kind of thing, but this momma is at a loss. My dear sweet boy, Derek, had an ABR done recently to confirm our fears that he has lost all hearing in his left ear and his right ear has declined to the point that we aided the left ear 2 years ago. The CMV he was born with is rearing its ugly head. Most insurances don't cover hearing aids, which are not cheap, and now we are looking at him having surgery to get cochlear implants for him.
To make matters worse, his dad was contacted this past Friday by his employer to inform him that due to a slow down in jobs he has been laid off. So now we have no insurance and our primary income is gone. I have faith that Dallas will find work soon and know that this trial will be for our good and blessings will come. However, without insurance we will be forced to push back Derek getting what he needs again. As his mother that thought is breaking my heart.
I know it is the holidays and everyone is feeling strapped financially, but my prayer is that we can all contribute a little and get my sweet boy what he needs in a timely fashion.
