Deputy Ted Bell

Donation protected
Ted Bell, a Deputy Sheriff in Clay County, Georgia, was shot in the abdomen while responding to a domestic dispute on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.  Deputy Bell has undergone surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.  However, he will be out of work for an extended period of time, as well as his fiancée, Angela Wheeler, who is also employed by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.  We have set up this Go Fund Me account to help Ted and Angela with the many expenses that will be accumulating during this time.

Ted has dedicated his life to serving his nation and the communities in which he has lived. Ted followed in his father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in law enforcement, which started at an early age in the Explorers Program. Ted served in the United States Army for 6 years as a military police officer before becoming a Georgia officer. He has been a Georgia law enforcement officer, first responder and volunteer firefighter for over 10 years now.

Deputy Bell’s injury was sustained while he was faithfully serving Clay County, and we want to show our appreciation and support for him during this difficult time.

Thank you for your contributions.  We appreciate you and so do Ted and Angela!
