Deputy John King Memorial Scholarship

Chief Deputy John King selflessly gave 41 years of tremendous service to the community, with a special focus on helping youth reach their goals. Anyone who knew John was drawn to him; it was unavoidable. His vast knowledge and insight into all things was astounding. John enjoyed being outdoors, and was well-known for working with youth at Cross Trail Outfitters and the YMCA. John wanted to help youth get the best opportunities in life.

Walla Walla Sheriff's Office is dedicated to supporting our community and giving back. We share John's vision and strive to help our community, particularly our youth to have the best opportunities in life. 

For this reason, the Walla Walla Commissioned Deputies Association, in partnership with the Walla Walla Sheriff’s Foundation, is raising funds for the John King Memorial Scholarship. All funds raised will go directly to several youth in our community. Youth will be given an all expense paid scholarship to a Cross Trail Outfitters of Washington camp.
