Deputy Darrin Lawson’s Recovery and Medical
Donation protected
On June 30, 2022 Floyd County, KY sheriff’s deputy Darrin Lawson suffered a serious gunshot wound in his left leg while serving an EPO due to a domestic violence situation while on duty. Darrin has since undergone 5 major surgeries and will unfortunately undergo many more in the near future. Darrin is currently hospitalized two hours from home at UK in Lexington, KY where he has been for the last two weeks. He will continue to be hospitalized for several more weeks. Darrin has an amazing team of surgeons who specialize in “limb salvage”. The multiple surgeries he has endured and the ones to follow are all in hopes of the surgeons ultimately being able to save his left leg. This fund will be exclusively used to help the Lawson family with medical costs, travel for the family to and from Lexington to ensure he never has to be alone, handicap accessible fixtures that will have to be installed in order for him to return home in the future, and other costs that may occur due to his injury.
