Maasai Molar exists to support Aitong, Kenya with dental, medical and professional volunteers. Aitong is small town located approximately 225km from Nairobi, a 6-hour drive or shorter flight across to the Maasai Mara. Kenya has just 1 dentist per 42,000 of the population, yet most of whom practise in urban areas such as Nairobi, leaving most of the population without access to basic dental care. Imagine having toothache and no relief! Maasai Molar are in their 3rd year visiting Aitong now, we are graciously accommodated in the community medical centre where we can set up a dental clinic, hygiene clinic and central sterilisation area. The clinic has running water and electricity supplied by solar power and a generator. However, our longer-term goal is to build our own facility.
