Dental and Medical Work for Eddie

Our son Eddie was born with a combination of a Tracheoesophageal fistula and Esophageal atresia which is a fancy way of saying that he was born with a hole between his trachea and his esophagus, and his stomach wasn't connected to his esophagus.  Because of this birth defect, he had to spend the first few month of his life having invasive surgeries and staying in the hospital's intensive care unit.
This unfortunately led to Eddie  being delayed at meeting various growth and development milestones and having to play catch up later in life.
Something that goes along with children who were born with a TE fistula/E atresia is life-long gastric issues, and Eddie does take medicine for reflux.  After his latest visit to the dentist, she noticed ulcers in his throat that will need the care and attention from a Gastroenterologist, as well as braces to widen is bite to allow for more oxygen intake to facilitate long bone growth.
This is where we need your help in raising money to cover the cost of the orthodontic braces and other dental work to make sure Eddie has the best chance at growing to his potential.  Through all of this, Eddie has remained positive and enjoys his life, we just want to make sure he continues to have a fighting chance.
