Dental Aid for Nepal

Hey everyone!

My name is Liam Tuohy.

On June the 30th I will be travelling to Nepal in conjunction with AROUND GOOD PEOPLE on a Dental Outreach programme to provide free Dental treatment to the poor and disadvantaged people who live there.

The poor people of Nepal (including women, children, the elderly and those with disabilities) have very little to no access to dental care outside of volunteers who travel there and depend on those volunteers to provide medical and dental treatments .

Before Covid-19 struck in 2020, these communities and villages had regular medical and dental volunteers visiting each year

however since at least 2020 no outreach program has been run in many of the villages.

It is vital that we help these disadvantaged communities with their Dental and Medical Health needs to prevent oral infections and diseases becoming systemic and life threatening.

To be able to provide these vital treatments for free to the poor and impoverished people of Nepal we will be setting up and renting a temporary clinic and surgery. We will be bringing dental materials and supplies from Ireland along with everyday oral care products such as toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Any donations will go a long way to helping these people who are in desperate need of help and will be greatly appreciated.

Information on the exact use of the donations will be provided. Every cent will be used in the efforts of providing aid.

To help fundraise for this I will be running a few challenges for myself and organising events between now and June the 30th so stay tuned for details!!
