Dennis McLeod’s Road to Recovery

Donation protected
As many of you know, Dennis went into Boston Medical in early July for what was anticipated to be an hours-long surgery after detecting early signs of prostate cancer. Following the operation, medical staff was confident that the surgery went well and he was cleared.

Dennis, unbeknownst to staff at the time, suffered a stroke during the procedure, and is at the the beginning of what’s sure to be a long and difficult journey to recovery.

Little by little, he shows improvement each day, with his wife, Donna, and his family close by his side. As he transitions from the hospital to Spaulding Rehabilitation, he’ll be faced with everything from speech therapy to physical therapy to get back to a new normal.

Everyone who knows Dennis knows that he’d be the last person to ask for help of any kind. He’s got this, we have no doubt. But as the expenses that come along with hospital stays and rehab begin to pile on, we’re asking for our friends and family to help out in any way that they can. While we can only guess at how long his road to recovery may be, we do know he will be out of work while he faces this monumental challenge. A little goes a long way and we’re grateful for all of the well-wishes and offerings of help we’ve received so far.

It’s in moments like this that we realize just how widespread Dennis’s community of friends really is—from his Cape Cod Cafe family to his neighbors and fellow workmates at Mass Tire.

While he may not be able to express his gratitude just yet, we thank you on his behalf for your support any contributions you’re able to make.
