Denise’s Healing

On Saturday Sept 15th 2018 My Sister Denise had a terrible and tragic accident involving a pan of boiling water that accidentally fell onto her entire right leg and half of her left. She was admitted to the Burn intensive Care Unit.  She has undergone two surgeries.  Surgery one was to remove the staph  infection that was concerning to the doctors  and to prevent the spreading to other areas of her Burn. The second surgery was to perform Skin grafts to her right leg since her burns were not progressing in the healing process.  My sister has gone through daily wound changes that require high doses of IV meds to just get her through the pain. We are awaiting the take down of her surgery bandages that will happen in 3 days.  She will need to be here another 4 weeks or longer.  We’ve learned Burns have a mind of their own. The waiting process on healing can take weeks to months.  Her time out of work will be undetermined at this point. Anything at all helps and I know she appreciates the love she has received already from everyone.  If you are lucky enough to know my sister Denise , you know she’s the kindest most beautiful individual you’ve ever met.  To see her go through this has been devastating.
