As friends of Denise, we are learning more about her disease and how corporate and state disability works. It is crazy. Her past 8 years have been filled with huge financially obligations which can’t be met!

Here is the nitty-gritty! She currently has work disability of $ 1,000 a month, which ends soon.  Rent is $ 925.00 and Cobra $ 853. She also has to take 12 different pills plus deductibles and co-pays for 5 different doctors. She is forced to sometimes cuts pills in half to survive.

State disability has turned her down twice, which from what we understand is very common. Fingers crossed that the third time is a charm in late February. Even then, state disability (if awarded) will help her drop COBRA payment but still won’t even cover her rent. She has cashed in her 401K to help cover when needed, but that too has gone quickly.

She is getting closer and closer to remission but just needs a little more help from her friends to get there! Every little bit helps! One donation or even a little each month would be appreciated! ❤️❤️❤️

Here is what her past 8 years has looked like!

2010- 5 blood clots in lungs
2011- 2 cancerous polyps removed from colon
2012- Shingles and started chemo for Lupus
2013- Radition for lesions in eye
2014- Kidney biopsy for mass on kidney
2015- Chemo increase for Lupus. Fell and injuried hip, needs hip replacement but doctors can’t find anything they can use that her LUPUS won’t reject.
2016- Had to go on disability from work due to LEUKEMIA . Had gallbladder removed. Fell broke ankle. Had to go on Red Devil for Leukemia which kept her in hospital for a week. Hernia repair kept in hospital for 3 days. Shingles came back and lesions in her eyes.
2017- Started passing out for no reason. Received a heart monitor. She was let go by her company due to illness. Leukemia is borderline to remission but still passing out . Needs surgery to open a vein to her heart. Fell recently and broke 2 ribs.
2018- She is working towards remission for Leukemia and hoping to get back to work ASAP.
