Thank you all for the amazing support, thoughts and prayers throughout my mom's journey. Here, we've set up an account for those who would like to donate, as I know many people have been asking. For those who don't know her journey; this is Denise Ladao, my mom.
With given 5 to 10 years to live, my mom has fought Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer since October 3, 2008 and has metastasized to the liver and spleen throughout her journey. Most patients have not been known to live past one year with this disease, yet she beat it by 5. We were always looking for a miracle, yet each day with her was the miracle of its own.
On January 17th, my mom agreed to sign for Family Home Hospice as our last resort. We were told we've exhausted all options for a cure. All we can do now is go home and maintain the pain hoping a miracle will stumble by. We were later told that mom may not survive within the following two weeks.
Tuesday January 27, 2015 my mother took her last breath and passed away peacefully in my dad's arms alongside me, my brother and my mom's parents. Her battle was lost, but forever an inspiration to everyone. My mother will rest peacefully in Hawaii where she always wished to be.
