Help Denise's Vision

Video of Denise singing

Denise is an 11 year old girl. At age 8 she started having issues with her eyes. She went to get an eye exam and got glasses for the first time. Her glasses seemed to help for a bit. Last year in school, Denise was told she needed new glasses- only three weeks after she had gone to get her yearly eye exam and new prescription. After a few months, Denise stopped wearing her glasses because she said that they were not helping her anymore. Last Friday, August 31st 2018, Denise was told that she has Keratoconus. Doctors claim that she lost a lot of her vision on one eye within only 3 years and her vision is rapidly degrading. The disease is rapidly spreading and if no treatment is done,  doctors stated that most of her vision will be gone by 14 years old.

Denise is an AMAZING young girl! Always caring for others and constantly praying for her fellows! She's an A&B honor roll student and loves to help everyone! There really aren't enough words to describe how amazing she is! She's the most positive person you can meet and it's always encouraging and motivating others!

We are asking people out there to please help her keep her vision by helping with the medical costs of her treatment. There are corneal transplants and other surgeries or treatments that can be done for patients who have Keratoconus, but doctors say that Denise is too young and corneal transplants are usually done for patients above 14 years old, so the best treatment for her right now is Corneal Cross-linking. Corneal Cross-linking should stop the progression of Keratoconus and from spreading to get other eye. Even though she cannot gain the vision that she has already lost, we can prevent her from more vision lost! If there's anyway that you can help, please do!

Thanks, and God bless!
