Denise Sumpter - sober house living
Donation protected
Dear friends & family:
I have found myself jobless and homeless. I relapsed on alcohol, spent two perilous weeks on the streets, and I am back on track.
Sober: day 3.
I have been afforded several nights' stay at a very comfortable hotel in Bloomington, MN.
The out-pouring of love and light have been overwhelmingly beautiful. I am able to stay at the hotel through this Thursday, August 3rd. By Friday, I could move into sober housing.
I need to get back to supportive, sober housing.
I have been offered a room at a self-pay, sober house in Brooklyn Center, MN.
The organization is called Christ Satisfies Housing. I recently stayed in their GRH housing for one, sober year .
I would be living with the program director and held accountable for my sobriety by way of drug and alcohol testing.
The amount I am seeking affords me two months' rent.
Many have offered to help. Many! And although this hotel stay has been a blessing of rest and clarity, I need permanent, sober living.
I am still employed, albeit part-time, at a local live theater who has been kind enough to allow me to keep my job(s). Ergo, I will be back on my feet soon and able to pay my own room and board.
This is hard, asking. So many people have offered to help. If you can, please do.
Love,
Denise Sumpter
