Denise Medina's Med Bills/Dream Vac

Hello All. So many of you whom do know me, and my family know that my mom has suffered from different types of cancer for as long as many can remember. She has been battling this disease in numerous forms since approx 2001. At this time her doctors have informed her that this disease may finally win the war she has fought. She has been given roughly 1-5 years depending on the way her body handles the extremely aggresive treatment they are attempting. NOBODY has given up hope that she will again beat this disease. But we have all come to terms that there is a strong possibility that this could be her last stand against a disease that has robber her of so many opportunities in her life. For those of you that dont know, she has battled and defeated breast cancer numerous times. She was told by doctors that she was cancer free, only to have the disease return again. She continued to fight, and always seemed to pull through miraculously. And then more bad news, she was diagnosed with Lupus. There are days where she is not physically able to get out of bed, her joints and muscles ache so badly that she is not able to move very well. She is such a strong woman that while this disease has the capability of crippling people, she would not let it be an excuse. She would still find a way out of bed, moving, little by little, stretching, etc until she could get out of bed. Nobody would ever know she was fighting, not one, but TWO crippling diseases, because if you know this woman, you know she would always greet you with a smile. As the years have gone on, the cancer has spread to her kidney. Doctors refuse to remove her Kidney saying that it is too high of a risk. Which is where we are now. There is an extremely aggresive treatment doctors are going to attempt to prolong her life, and attempt to help this tough, resilient woman beat this disease hopefully for the last time....

The reasons for setting up this go fund me is because, I would like to help my parents pay for some of the medical bills that have piled up on them for the last 15+ years of their lives. During that time, while battling disease, Denise has always continued to maintain a full time job, Al, my dad, has always maintaned a full time job. There were times where they still supported myself, and my sisters, and never once took it as a burden, even though they were over their heads buried with bills. These two have put off so many of the things that others are fortunate enough to do because they could not afford to do them, I.E. vacations, eating out, travel, and EVEN A HONEYMOON! Keep in mind Al & Denise have been married for 30+ Years and have never taken a honeymoon! Immediately after they were married, my parents were planning for a family, Denise pregnant, working two jobs, Al, working three to make sure that they would never not have something their family needed. Never once growing up did my sisters, or myself go without the things we needed. I would like to ask for everyones help in paying them back.... I would like to help pay for my moms medical bills, and use a small portion of the funds to help send them on a vacation. Nothing extravagant, just a small nice vacation to one of my moms favorite places, Cambria, or Pismo. A vacation for her and my dad to enjoy, being in each others company, not having to worry about if they can go out to a nice dinner that evening, or not staying an extra night because they know they have another medical bill to pay the next week. These two have been together since they were children.... the only life they know is the life they have lived TOGETHER, the family they have built TOGETHER. Please help me in giving them one last time to vacation TOGETHER, and enjoy each others company before Denise begins her most grueling fight against a disease that threatens all they have built together.
