Denise Lukingbeal Memorial

In loving memory of Denise Lukingbeal, beloved educator of 25 years, all donations will go directly toward an outdoor learning center at Ellsworth Hill Elementary School in Hudson, Ohio.

Denise Ellen Lukingbeal (nee Rosfeld), age 67, of Hudson passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022. She is survived by her adoring husband of 43 years, Scott Lukingbeal; her loving children, Lainie (Chad) Fertick, Ashley Lukingbeal and Eric (Jennifer) Lukingbeal; her cherished grandchildren, Maya, Charlie, Nate and Lucy Fertick and Lily and Callie Groff; her dear siblings, Debby (Dave) Nagel, Jeff (Julie) Rosfeld, Lori (Rob) Patton and Pam Rosfeld and 21 nieces and nephews. Denise dedicated her life to the service of others, including a 25-year career as an elementary school educator. She was a doting grandparent, enforcing “House Rules" like cookies for breakfast, a gifted artist, and enjoyed exploring the outdoors, especially Cuyahoga Valley National Park. She will be remembered by all for the kindness, love, joy, and generosity she spread everywhere she went. The family will receive friends from 9-11 AM Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, 19 East Main Street, Hudson, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 340 North Main Street, Hudson, Ohio. A reception will follow the Mass at church, where friends may also visit with the family. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family is collecting donations towards the construction of an outdoor learning center at Ellsworth Hill Elementary in Hudson, Ohio.
