Denise Griffiths Support Fund

Donation protected
Update (02/03): My name is Beau and I am the President of UF SISTUHS, an organization Denise was a part of. We as a community from UF, to Gainesville, Atlanta and more have come together to support Denise's family through this trying time. The funds will cover funeral expenses such as the casket, police escort, plot, headstone, flowers, wreath, community center rental, food for  family and guests, church rental, fees and more. The money will be directly sent to Denise's family, and to ensure this, they are the campaign's beneficiary. Thank you for all of your support.

Update: Denise Griffiths has officially passed on January 29, 2020. All Proceeds will be going towards her funeral expenses and hospital bills. Thank you!

Dear friends, family, and those who have discovered this page, thank you for your warm hearts and spirits as we uplift Denise Griffiths: our beloved daughter, sister, poet, writer, activist, friend and fellow UF Gator. It pains us to say that Denise Griffiths (21) was hit by a car on the night of January 27, 2020,  as she got off the bus to head home from school. As a result, she has experienced severe injuries/damages to her spinal cord and has been pronounced brain dead.

For those who know Denise, she is an advocate for peace, love, unity and inclusion for all, and she spreads that influence to everyone she has been in contact with. For those who know or may not know, Denise is a current member and Membership Co-Director of the UF Chapter of SISTUHS Inc, an Assistant Director of Gatorship, Editor in Chief,  past President of Jamaican American Student Association, Resident Assistant, and an avid member in the Black Student Union.

With all the support that she has given to the community, we completely understand if, at this time, you want to lend a helping hand in any way that you can. We are asking that we all join together to support Denise and her loved ones through prayer, love, and donations. All of the funds and proceeds raised will solely go towards supporting Denise’s family ease in transition during this devastating time. In an effort to provide financial assistance (hospital bills and more) to all of her family, this memorial has been crafted. Any donations would provide great relief to their grievance, and be deeply appreciated by her family. Thank you for your contributions.
