Denise Dawson Memorial Scholarship Fund

Please join us in honoring Denise's legacy by making a donation to the Denise Dawson Memorial Scholarship Fund. The foundation will benefit high school students from Kenwood and Hereford High School who will be attending college.
Denise was a standout 3 sport athlete at Kenwood High School. She was team captain of 3 Varsity sports (basketball, lacrosse and field hockey) and earned many distinguished individual and team awards in her outstanding career at Kenwood. She went on to be a 3 sport varsity athlete at Towson University (formerly Towson State). Something that is unheard of in this day and age. She was a gifted athlete but more importantly she was the consumate teammate and upheld the highest level of sportsmanship.
She took her love and passion for sports and education after graduation and moved it into the classroom where she taught school and coached young men and women to be the best they could be.
She then took her strong work ethic, intelligence and keen sense out into the business world. She owned multiple Dunkin' Donuts and TCBY Franchises before launching and directing for 20 years her own successful publishing company.
She was truly a remarkable woman both on the fields/courts and in the business world.
The scholarships that we will be able to provide in her name through this scholarship fund will give other students a chance to achieve their goals and dreams after high school.
