Hello stranger,

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. My mother, Denise Benoit, has been quite sick for some time. In November of 2017 my mother went in for back surgery due to a severe case of spinal stenosis. At the time she had some memory and walking issues, but we thought nothing of it, relating it to her back and pain medication. We were, however, quite wrong. The back surgery went well, but the next 6 weeks of recovery time saw my mother bedridden, which lead to very weakened muscles. Her memory began to rapidly decline, along with her ability to walk, and by late March she was in a wheelchair.

Her memory problems were very alarming to us, far more than her weakened body, as she could no longer manage to process a simple sentence. We had diagnose and diseases thrown at us from Dementia to Alzheimer's, and even Parkinson's. She has had every kind of test you could imagine on her brain, but they all show a perfectly healthy brain and no explanation for her current state. The doctors did discover one thing, her minerals and vitamins were incredibly low, especially B1, B12, Potassium, and Copper.

To this day, June 6, 2018, we still lack a formal diagnoses for her memory issues. Her body is slowly recovering with physical therapy, and she does have some good days with her mind. We are hoping that the worst is behind us, and she is on the road to recovery, but all of this research and medical testing, along with numerous hospital visits due to her falling, have put us severely in debt. If possible we would like you to consider donating to our cause. Our medical debts exceed our current goal, but any financial assistance would be much appreciated.

Funding would be best received as soon as possible, as all the other bills are still contending for our attention. Any and all funding will be used to pay off medical bills, which would give everyone in our family peace of mind and ensure we do not lose everything due to the crushing weight of medical debt. We cannot afford home care, so I am locked in a part time position so that I can be at home to ensure my mother's well-being.

Thank you for your time, and I hope all goes well for you in your days to come.

Sincerely, The Benoit Family

UPDATE: We have reached our $2,000 goal, but as stated are bills are much larger. So, we set a new goal of $3,000. We were shocked to see the aid that all of you provided us with in having us reach our first goal. We would like to thank everyone for helping us in whichever way they could. Hopefully we will meet our new goal of $3,000, but again I must thank all of you for the charity and aid you have provided us with.
