Denis' Mission Trip to Brazil

Just wanted to share what I will be doing very soon.
Next Adventure: Headed to YWAM Manaus, Brazil
On December 17th, I’ll be starting a new leg of my journey and the calling God has placed on my life. That day I will be going to Orlando to meet up with my two team members, Julia and Taylor. The 19th we will be leaving from Miami to go to our main destination in Manaus (pronounced Ma-nouse), Brazil, for about six months.
The benefit of meeting in Orlando will be to be prayed over by our spiritual family there, who have seen all three of us at our best and worst. Having this spiritual family lay their hands on us, intercede for us, and send us out as a team is something that I think is crucial in going under a covering of peace and blessing. I am so excited to begin this journey and include you in it as my spiritual family of intercessors. Would you prayerfully consider helping send me out?
What I Hope to Accomplish in Brazil
First, I want to do His will. Like I learned in DTS, “It’s not about me”. I hope to see another side of the father heart of God and also discover how He formed a mother heart after His own. Growing my ability to show God’s love through my actions is something I strive to accomplish.
We will be working with the YWAM Manaus orphanage. I would like to act as a mother to the motherless. Also, to grow in my trust in Him and the plans He has for me.
I see this trip as an opportunity to grow in character and knowledge. I would like to learn Portuguese. My teammate, Taylor, is a certified personal trainer, so I hope to take advantage of the time spent with her to work on my own physical fitness while she is with us for the first two months. Discipline is something I hope to cultivate further in many areas of my life. Including physically and spiritually.
What Can I Do?
PRAY
· For Financial Provision
o Housing costs about $77 a month (about $500 total)
o Personal item cost estimated to about another $500
o Low price tickets to Colombia for Julia and I, for when we need to leave Brazil for visa purposes for a week
· For my team’s health and protection spiritually, physically, and emotionally
