Denis and Laurie's Medical Fund

Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you may know, our good friend and longtime Justin Boots Sales Representative, Denis Arey passed away Wednesday, August 22, due to complications from a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. Early this July, Denis went into the hospital after losing feeling in most of his right side of his body. He spent several weeks in the hospital while doctors tried to diagnose his condition and treat him based on the prognosis. After several weeks of biopsies and tests, they were able to determine he had a brain tumor in his spinal cord. The procedure to remove the tumor had a very high risk of paralysis and chemotherapy would only be a short term remedy for treatment. Ultimately, Denis chose to go home and rest peacefully with Laurie and family at his side as long as he was able.
Even though Denis and Laurie have health insurance, the max out of pocket contribution is extremely high along with medical transport costs, home hospice, and the service of life celebration costs. We are writing this letter in hopes to start a fund to raise money for Laurie and the costs they have endured. I know Laurie will be eternally grateful for any help, no matter how small the contribution .
