Dena's Battle with Cancer

Dear friends, as some of you know, my mother, Dena Wood was diagnosed with Smooth Muscle Sarcoma back in December. She has a high grade rapid developing tumor on the back of her left thigh and although she will not undergo chemotherapy, she’s had to complete five weeks of radiation and will have surgery later this year.
Initially, my mother, as fiercely independent as she is, planned to work leading up to her surgery but has unfortunately been put on temporary leave until September. While she will use what disability funds she has at her disposal, she depleted much of her disability funds healing after my brother’s unexpected death last year. As you can imagine, this only makes matters worse in an already trying time for us all.
I know my mother is loved and cared for by many, and so I ask you all to keep her in your thoughts and prayers; and, if possible, please make a gift toward her recovery fund. All gifts will go toward paying her medical bills and living expenses, leading up to her surgery.
