The Flood Drama
Many of you responded when we posted about our house flooding while we were back in the States.  Neighbors rescued much of our stuff from the flooded 1st floor and more friends came later and cleaned out the standing water.  We were so grateful!!  Since returning to Thailand, we decided to move to avoid the coming rainy season and the inevitable floods on our street. 
 
Some have asked how they can help in the flood aftermath.  Renter’s insurance isn’t an option in Thailand so recovering from this flood all comes out of pocket.  The cost of replacing furniture, house deposits and moving costs quickly adds up - - thanks in advance for your care and generosity!

These are the details: 
We have about 7 pieces of furniture that were damaged in the flood.

We found a townhouse in a nearby neighborhood so we are on the move to higher ground! 

We’ve chosen to use this Go Fund Me account because it takes the administration load off our mission agency and helps us get the funds quickly. 

We plan to move in less than 10 days.  We are racing against the next rain storm! 

We hope to raise $6,500 to cover these costs.
