Dementia medical finances

I had to retire early from work to be the caretaker of my wife of 38 years due to dementia/short term memory fading. She could no longer be trusted to be safe driving herself and/or grandkids. We began living on social security since May. We will be starting with a new Dr. at UT Cognative Disorder Clinic early Sept. to hopefully reverse this disease. Traveling to and from Houston in this new adventure in our lives. We have been dealing with this for about two years now....  Not sure what it will take to continue our battle with this, but I do know I cannot quit trying for a cure for her!!! Most meds the other Dr’s prescribed had side effects that contribute to what we are trying to cure....
