Delta Tau Delta UTK Philanthropy

Delta Tau Delta established its national philanthropic partnership with JDRF in 2012. This partnership engages the Fraternity’s more 130 chapters and colonies on college campuses nationwide to work closely with local JDRF chapters to help raise funds and awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D). Since the partnership began, Delta Tau Delta chapters have raised more than $1 million for T1D research. The partnership between Delta Tau Delta and JDRF strives to create multiple avenues for philanthropy and creativity, from volunteering at JDRF galas and forming walk teams to creating campus fundraising and awareness events to benefit T1D research.

This year, the Delta Delta Chapter’s goal is to raise over $5,000 for JDRF, which would establish UTK Delt as a leader in the fraternity community for philanthropic fundraising. A lot of the fundraising will come from our shrimp boil on Saturday October 13th, our “Sugar Free Bowl”
powder puff football tournament on Tuesday October 16th , our soap hockey tournament on Wednesday October 17th, and our annual percentage night at Jason’s Deli on Thursday October 18th. 

Although these events will raise money for JDRF, we are expecting about $1,000 in fundraising for these events open to the UTK student body. A majority of the donations will come from you, the family and friends of a Tennessee Delt, and our alumni. Donating is easier than ever!
