Welcome to our fundraiser for the 2nd annual Delta Pride event. Last year, we raised funds to put on the event with help from the community at large but since we were not a registered society we could not keep any extra monies for the following year and all of the surplus was donated to a good cause; Covenant House charity.
The Delta Pride Society is now an incorporated, non-profit organization which allows us to carry a balance. However, we are starting at zero funds and we need your help again to help put this event together.
Please help us raise the funds needed to put on this great family friendly event for all of our neighbours. We will be doing some 'hands-on' fundraising as well, but we need your help to reach our goal. Every little bit helps, so please donate what you can.
After recent events with the defacing of two consecutive Pride flags on display outside Ladner's most inclusive church, this event is even more important to show that Delta is an inclusive community and homophobia is not tolerated here.
