Delta Concert Band

The Delta Concert Band, formed in October of 1964, is comprised of adult-aged amateur musicians from all over the lower mainland of British Columbia.  It offers an opportunity for individuals to maintain and enhance their musical skills and to provide the community the benefit of their hard work by delivering free concerts at various community forums. Additionally the band collaborates with other community groups for performances.

The Delta Concert Band supports school band programs by sharing the stage at concerts, coaching band students, and providing an annual bursary to a graduating student of the Delta School District who will be pursuing a degree in either Music or Music Education.

Expenses for our music director, music, rents, uniforms, storage insurance etc have also been hit by increasing costs that everyone is experiencing. Member fees in some cases presents some of our members on fixed incomes and or youth from participating or even joining. We would like to move from monthly net zero to having funds available and secure for at minimum to facilitate our student bursary and provide community musicians a place to play without financial burden. We would also like to be in a position to purchase new music to allow for individual personal growth. To this end we are looking for support of $10000.
