Omega Scholarship Fundraiser

My name is Della Hughes, I am a 2018 Ms. Omega contestant. I support the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in their effort to raise money to help provide scholarships to high school students in the CSRA.The Founders of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. recognized the importance of the intellect in all matters pertaining to the advancement of humankind. As such, they made Scholarship the foremost of the Fraternity's four Cardinal Principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. The scholarship is no side issue - it is an integral and deep-rooted component of our organization. Every member, Chapter, and District of the Fraternity is dedicated to fundraising for Scholarship.


The Psi Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is hosting our 71st Annual “Mardi Gras” themed dance April 20, 2018, at the Columbia County Exhibition Center in Grovetown, GA. This grand event is one of the C.S.R.A.’s premier social activities with over a thousand participants and the beginning of our fundraising efforts for 2018.

The Psi Omega Chapter was founded in Augusta, Georgia, in 1925 by people like Dr. T. W. Josey and Dr. James Carter, and has faithfully served the community for over 90 years. As a non-profit organization, we have been able to contribute over $100,000 dollars in assistance to the community over the last five years through college scholarships for high school students, programs for at-risk youth in the middle and elementary schools, and mentoring and supporting a number of local efforts to improve the community through talent programs, the Fatherhood Initiative, and working with the Marine Corps “Toys For Tots” program. Additionally, we support the local food banks and many other organizations in the community.

Today, we are soliciting your support of our efforts to continue this great work by donating to the cause to help fund 18 scholarships we will provide this year to local high school students across the C.S.R.A. All Donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE: EIN 26-3506618.
