Delight SDSU Fundraiser

Delight Ministries is a national organization that invites college women into a Christ-centered community that fosters vulnerability and transforms stories. 
Our Delight chapter at San Diego State University started in 2016 with five members and has grown over the past 5 years into a recognized student organization that ministers weekly to over 40 girls. With moving online last year, we are thankful for Zoom for allowing us to keep our weekly Delight meetings in place. These serve as a time for us to regroup and reconnect by going over our weekly Delight story and answering questions that allow us to grow in our relationship with God. Unfortunately, because we are a nonprofit, funding is very difficult and it is hard for us to raise money for our chapter. Particularly, many of the fundraising activities that we planned on doing this semester were halted when we went online.

We are using this Gofundme platform as a way to raise funds for the future when we are back in person again. In the past, we loved to host opportunities for our members such as community service events, retreats, bonding activities, nature outings, and weekly meetings that not only provide us with a community but also help us grow in our relationship with Christ. We would love to dive back into these exciting ways of getting to connect with our members and would love to have funds set aside for when that time comes again. These funds will also go towards any financial needs that arise while we are still online such as mailing letters, goodies, or any other purchases that might occur between now and then.
