Hello, my name is Brad Bendix, and I currently reside in Tyler, Texas. My parents, Del and Sandy Bendix, live in Porter, Texas, and have been devastated by Hurricane Harvey. They returned to their home once the water was down enough to make the trip, only to find that the entire first floor of their house had water damage. the water staining up the base boards and walls indicates that the flooding was about 4 inches of standing water throughout the entire first floor. My parents and sister have already begun ripping out all of the carpet and lenoleum as the flooding has ruined it. This project is going to take a large sum to replace all of the flooring, most of the lower sheetrocking, kitchen cabinets, and any other outstanding costs. I already know that they will not ask for help, and will try to do it all on their own. We have set our goal at $40,000, but any amount will help them, even if it is the minimum donation. Below are some pictures to show the process that began 8/29/2017. We will appreciate any help that can be given, and fully understand that not everyone will be abled to help. EDIT: I now have an updated list of all the things that were damaged:
-Baseboards, door trims, doors
- yard cleanup (debris, ruined landscaping)
-3 cars flooded
Water and sewage came into the house so a ton of cleanup will need to be done inside as well. We are estimating that these things will sum at least to $40,000, so again anything helps!
