Deisy-fights breast cancer

I struggled a lot with the decision of creating this page. I have tried to do everything right my whole life to not be in the situation I'm in but somehow here I am. I am the youngest of three and my mom raised us alone when my dad left us. I focused on getting my HS diploma and doing everything right. I married my high-school sweetheart and we had a son. Unfortunately, my marriage came to an end. I found myself going through divorce and figuring out how to make ends meet by myself. Shortly after, my mom became very ill and my siblings couldn't help her so I did. I work 2 jobs. On September 22, 2017, I was diagnosed with breast cancer DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ ) stage 2 the tumor was 3.3 cm. This came as a total shock to me, I was very worried about my son and my mom because I want to live for them. I have a very strong Faith in God that everything is going to be fine. Because I'm a single mom supporting my mom and son, I was super scared when the oncologist told me that I had to have a Lumpectomy, Chemotherapy, Radiation and because my genetic testing was positive to BRCA1 I have to undergo a double mastectomy . On October 12, 2017 I had a Lumpectomy , thank God the tissue around was clean, but 2 out of 3 lymph nodes came positive with cancer, so I have to get Chemotherapy, 12 rounds of Taxol every week and 4 sessions of Adriamycin with Cytoxan every other week. My first treatment was on November 2. The surgery to place the port-a cath was on November 20th, after that I have chemotherapy every Friday . Thank God #Susan G. Komen, is paying for my breast cancer treatment but the only thing that I have to pay out of my pocket is my reconstruction. I'm still working every single day, even on Fridays after my chemotherapy. It's been a challenge trying to stay strong and positive but with God's help I will come through this fight stronger than ever. Esto fue un shock total para mí, estaba muy preocupada por mi hijo y mi madre porque quiero vivir para ellos. Tengo una Fe muy fuerte en Dios de que todo va a estar bien. Como soy madre soltera y apoyo a mi madre y a mi hijo, tuve mucho miedo cuando el oncólogo me dijo que tenía que someterse a una lumpectomía, quimioterapia y radiación, y dado que mi prueba genética fue positiva para BRCA1, debo someterme a una doble mastectomía. El 12 de octubre de 2017 tuve una lumpectomía, gracias a Dios que el tejido estaba limpio, pero 2 de cada 3 ganglios linfáticos dieron positivo con cáncer, así que tengo que recibir quimioterapia, 12 rondas de Taxol cada semana y 4 sesiones de Adriamycin con Cytoxan cada quincena. Mi primer tratamiento fue el 2 de noviembre. La cirugía para colocar el catéter fue el 20 de noviembre, después de eso recibí quimioterapia todos los viernes. Gracias a Dios #Susan G. Komen, está pagando por mi tratamiento contra el cáncer de seno, pero lo único que tengo que pagar de mi bolsillo es mi reconstrucción. Todavía estoy trabajando todos los días, incluso los viernes después de mi quimioterapia. Ha sido un desafío tratar de mantenerme fuerte y positiva, pero con la ayuda de Dios superaré esta lucha más fuerte que nunca.
