Degus Transport to New Home

I’m only creating this because a few people have asked how they can donate a little money to help me out. Please be clear I absolutely do NOT expect anyone to donate or want to make you feel you should have to.

I suddenly have to rehome my 4 rescue degus and 1 chinchilla.

I have found a really lovely home for the degus where they are going to be so loved. However it’s 250 miles away and of course they have very large cages. So I am going to rent a van or perhaps a large trailer, and make the trip to get them there safely. It will be a very long day and very costly - for the hire alone I’m looking at £150 to £200 and then there’s petrol costs. 

We estimate it’ll be about £500 overall. I’ve been picking up Amazon deliveries where possible and will continue to do so as this is of course a massive unexpected cost but after so many generous people asked how they could contribute I’ve decided to set this up. I feel so uncomfortable with the idea of taking peoples money but Ialso understand that you guys are wanting to help, and you are so sweet and so lovely for that, I’m honestly so incredibly touched.

You’ll see my updates on my YouTube where I post every day - currently we are planning for Wednesday assuming I can get it off work. My dad is very kindly coming with me to help me and we can share the driving.
