Defray Legal Bills: Finkel et al v. Dannis et al

Our lawsuit in NH Superior Court this spring helped the town of Dalton beat back a cynical attempt to "abolish" its Planning Board and its Conservation Commission, backed by supporters of the Casella Landfill project. The preservation of these two Boards will help the entire North Country keep some checks and balances in a very uphill battle.

We exposed a deception (the ballot articles hid their true purpose), and now have the Defendants' lawyer on record saying "there is no law in NH against saying things that aren't true" on the ballot.

I am happy to pay for a significant portion of the $8,500 in legal fees our superb attorney is owed, but would GREATLY appreciate help from others in the area who value a functioning local government, and who oppose environmentally ruinous private development.

If you don't want your name to appear on this page, please consider e-mailing me through this site so I can thank you privately.

Thanks: the arc is long but bends towards PRESERVATION.
