#HaveTheConversation is a multi-pronged social impact strategy that will:

1. FOSTER robust conversations and practices to instill healthy norms and ideals for men to strive to.

2. DISPEL myths about masculinity and support healthier, balanced approaches to being a man in an ever-changing world.

3. BECOME allies to women and girls and create a fair, equitable, and safe world for all.

THE CAMPAIGN
Your financial support will go to the creation and distribution of the programs and content below:

1.  SPONSOR our Have You Had The Conversation Nationwide tour and screening series using our produced film "The Conversation" at:

-Highschools / College campuses
-Youth Groups
-Men's groups

The tour will engage boys and men with free townhall style screenings around the nation with featured panelists consisting of experts, activists, and local non-profits working around the issue of sexual assault, consent, and healthy masculinity.

2. The creation of a curriculum and training guide based on the various conversations and themes discussed during the tour for future facilitators to utilize for free via digital download including our produced multi-media content.

3.  The Defining Manhood book, a documentary, and narrative film that explores the shaping of masculinity from the myths and current common tropes, to culturally accepted norms and new ideas around healthier aspects of manhood.

4. Partnering with organizations nationwide to provide our content for fundraising efforts to support their work in their local communities.

ARTISTS UNITED FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE (AUSJ)
Artists United for Social Justice (AUSJ), is a 501c3 tax-exempt charitable organization that supports the creation and distribution of multi-media content that educates the public, particularly youth, about human rights violations and social injustices.

We do this by choosing issues that are topical and telling stories that are raw and authentic. We collaborate with artists, non profits, advocates, corporate sponsors to implement our campaigns to raise awareness and support organizations that we partner with.

ABOUT MICHAEL CORY DAVIS
Michael is an actor, filmmaker and humanitarian. His social justice work  began in 2003 when he encountered victims of human trafficking while shooting a film for the SyFy channel on location in Bulgaria.  Touched by the real-life story of a 13-year-old Bulgarian girl sold by her adoptive parents and trafficked to Holland for prostitution, Davis wrote and directed Svetlana’s Journey, a film based on her life. Svetlana’s Journey was the winner of the 2005 Hollywood Film Festival Best Short Subject Award and the HDFEST Deffie Award for Best HD Dramatic Film. Davis partnered with the Bulgarian non-profit organization Face To Face, the US Embassy, and corporate sponsor M-Tel to implement an awareness campaign to raise funding for rehabilitation centers and orphanages in Bulgaria while touring the country with the film. Along with an amazing groundswell of support from activists, citizens, and politicians, the movement helped catapult sex trafficking into a national conversation and played a role in fundraising for victims as well advocating for Bulgaria's first ever commission to combat trafficking in persons. 

Michael’s second film, Cargo: Innocence Lost, in 2007, a documentary on sex trafficking in the United States, has been lauded for its effective spotlight on the issue within the United States. In 2008, Michael created the I Stop Traffic Awareness campaign using his films as a way to spread awareness, support victims, and organizations. Michael has taken part in dozens of national and international human trafficking awareness events/film screenings with numerous organizations and high-profile figures, such as National Association of County Commissioners, National Foundation of Women Legislators, Salvation Army, Soroptomist, the former first Lady of Egypt Suzanne Mubarek, and Her Excellency Sheikha Sabiqa, the Queen of Bahrain, on their anti-trafficking campaigns. He is the recipient of the prestigious People to People International (founded by Dwight Eisenhower) Make a Difference Award and was honored in a ceremony alongside the prime minister of Albania and the president of Relief International. His work has been featured on CNN, ABC World News Tonight, and The Tyra Banks Show, to name a few.

As an actor, Michael has appeared on Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, NCIS: LA, KINGS, Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls and For Better or Worse to name a few.
