Jay’s defending the way to Nationals

There is nothing more important than encouraging young people to aim for the stars.
After a rough start to life with multiple surgeries and hospital stays due to a bowel atresia, allergies and severe asthma, Jay has used Soccer since the age of 4 years old to build up his strength and lung function. He is now entering his 11th year of playing Soccer and has recently been selected to also play for a federation team in 2019. After a gruelling trials process, challenging his strength, fitness and lungs, Jay very excitedly has made the SACSA State under 16 Soccer team to represent South Australia from 20th-24th May 2019 in the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Jay says ‘Attending this championship will be a great experience for me as a soccer player and will improve and develop my skills. This is a huge step for me as playing at a national level is something I have dreamed about.’
The hard work Jay has put in over the years to better himself and help others has led to on-field success, personal fulfilment and one very proud family. However, sponsorship/grant attempts to date have not been successful and the full cost of attending is just out of reach for his family. We are asking you to please consider supporting Jay to get to the National Games by a small donation to assist with the cost of the flights, accommodation, uniforms, competition levies and meals (a full breakdown of the set costs can be provided on request).

The South Australian Christian Schools Association (SACSA) provides students a safe place to get physically active, make connections with peers and recognise excellence in school sports by inviting students to represent South Australia at the National Games.
