Save The South Street Seaport Historic District

Join us in  preserving the South Street Seaport Historic district.

LPC approved the HHC 250 Water Street plan for a characterless monolith, 204’ higher than the existing zoning, shrinking the size of the South Street Seaport Historic District, and changing the border of the district from Pearl Street to Water Street, leaving Pearl St. open to further development in the future. This precedent setting decision will change the ground rules for historic preservation in NYC forever!
