Defend our Right to Know What's in our Food

We founded U.S. Right To Know in 2015 as many of us questioned what is in the food we eat and feed our families. We wanted to know how pesticide companies shape science, policy and public opinion our food. So we filed public records requests.  We quickly found explosive documents that led to a front-page New York Times article  about how Monsanto uses academics, and pays them secretly, for PR and lobbying. Our work continues to spark news stories  around the world.

Our investigations struck a nerve with Monsanto and its new owner, Bayer. The corporation plotted against us and our colleague Carey Gillam. In newly released internal documents, Monsanto writes that “USRTK’s plan will impact the entire industry,” and that our work “has the potential to be extremely damaging.” 

Monsanto and Bayer are so concerned with our work that they seek to discredit us and shut us down. So we are asking for every person who cares about food to stand with us today, and defend our right to know what's in our food.

Monsanto’s efforts at deception, disinformation, corruption of science, and keeping customers in the dark cannot win. We desperately need more investigative reporting about our food, pesticides, GMOs, artificial sweeteners and other artificial ingredients. Every penny you donate today will be spent supporting researching the giant food companies that dominate our food system.
