Help Maryland Landowners Fight PSEG in Federal Court

More than 100 Maryland landowners have been sued by PSEG Renewable Transmission LLC in federal court. PSEG is seeking a preliminary injunction to forcibly access private property for surveys along the proposed route of the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project (MPRP)—a 67-mile, 500kV transmission line project through Baltimore, Carroll, and Frederick Counties.

This lawsuit was filed without consent, bypassing ongoing state-level review of the project, and threatens the rights of every landowner by attempting to override private property protections before the project has even received approval.

PSEG claims this project is essential to prevent blackouts—but independent reports show Maryland remains resource adequate through at least 2032. This is not about reliability. It's about profit, power, and control.

Landowners are now being dragged into expedited federal litigation, with attorneys already mobilized to mount a coordinated legal defense. But the cost of defending these rights is steep—and the timeline is short.
