''In an absolute outrage LUL management have sacked our rep Gary Carney for going home sick when he had Covid symptoms claiming that he failed to attend a drugs and alcohol test that he was never even informed about .

As a union we will respond with every weapon in our arsenal to secure his reinstatement .This  is a shocking decision , management admit that Gary was not told of any test and even mentioned  that he was being dealt with because as an RMT rep he should have known better.

If  left unchallenged this appalling behaviour would allow management to sack any  rep or member who they didn’t like .

We will need to ballot our members  strike and stop the service to secure Gary’s reinstatement. If they can get away with doing this to Gary then nobody is safe .''
