Help Ballinger's Defeat Brain Tumor

My name is Robert Ballinger, 33 year old husband, father, son and brother. I have recently been diagnosed with a rare inoperable and uncurbable brain tumor called a diffuse midline glioma. Unfortunately, the tumor is located near the top of my brainstem where even performing a biopsy is extremely hazardous. There is currently no know cure, however there have been some encouraging clinical trials.
We have elected to seek treatment from the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. We will be going through a radiation treatment called Photon Beam Therapy, aiming to shrink the tumor, and a oral chemotherapy regimen aiming to contain the tumor cells. We are going to being the treatment as soon as possible, hopefully the week of Oct 8th.
The Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale is the closest Neuro-oncology facility that is currently using this equipment and treatment plan. Due to the distance, our plan is to temporarily living in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. These funds will be used to support the living expenses during our 6 week treatment as well as the frequent follow up visits in the months to come.
The decision to create a go fund me account is quite humbling. My thought is that if you feel compelled to help our cause this will allow you the opportunity to do so. If financial assistance is not something you can or want to do, we would love for you to pray.
