Help Lori Get Back on the Road and Back on Her Feet
Friends, family, and kind strangers, I’m reaching out on behalf of someone incredibly special to us: my mother-in-law, Lori Gomez.
Lori is the kind of person who gives without hesitation, who checks in when no one else does, and who carries others through their hardest moments. But right now, she’s the one who needs a hand.
Recently, Lori’s car broke down — the transmission is completely out — and the cost to repair it is more than she can manage alone. Without a working vehicle, she is unable to run basic errands, or keep up with daily life. In the current financial climate, where prices are climbing and opportunities feel scarce, this setback is hitting her especially hard.
What makes Lori’s situation even more meaningful is the strength she’s shown in her personal journey. She’s proudly in recovery and has remained sober for years — a journey that has taken immense courage, faith, and determination. Her car was not just transportation; it was a symbol of independence and a key piece in staying on the path she’s worked so hard to stay on. Now, without it, she’s struggling.
She’s not working at the moment, and this has caused a hardship for her. Lori is one of the strongest women we know, and asking for help does not come easy — but this is one of those moments where community can make all the difference.
We are trying to raise $2,000.00 to help cover the cost of a rebuilt transmission and labor. Every donation helps. If you can’t give, simply sharing this can be just as powerful. Lori has come so far, and we want to help make sure she doesn’t take steps backward because of something like this.
Let’s come together and show her she’s not alone.
