Avid Voter, Car Totaled by Deer!

Donation protected
I am Mr. Pinter's landlord and I have known him for 15 years.  He is a bit of a character as you can see from the video on the Journal Sentinel website.  He is the former President of the WI Polka Booster Club and a former member officer of the Polka Hall of Fame.

So, how does a donor know the funds will be properly used?  Well, just google the guy and you will know that he is authentic.  I am publicly accountable and am glad to answer any questions.  I plan to contact some local businesses that sell cars so that Mr. Pinter can get a good deal...hopefully at cost.  I figure he can get a replacement for his 2000 Buick for about $2,000.

Please reach out to me with any questions.

Thanks,

Jack

From the Milwaukee  Journal Sentinel news article:

At 83, John Pinter has had to give up a few things. Competitive polka dancing, for one.

But he is not about to give up his right to vote, even if he has to hoof it to the polls.

And that's what happened Tuesday.

On Monday night, the Cedarburg man hit a deer, totaling his car on his way home from a business trip. So, on Election Day, he could be seen cane-in-hand walking nearly a mile from his apartment building to the Community Center Gym to cast his votes.

"I've got emphysema, so I take about 20 steps and I've gotta stop," said Pinter, who is better known in some circles as half of the festival favorite dancing duo the Polkateers.

"I've never missed an election. I had to vote today," he said. "That's a freedom Americans have."
