"We know the outer world of sensations and actions, but of our inner world of thoughts and feelings we know very little.
The primary purpose of meditation is to become conscious of, and familiar with, our inner life."
- Nisargadatta maharaj
When I first started to meditate my inner world was a complete mess. For my entire life my focus has been on the external world, where I tried to find happiness, harmony and love. A few years ago I came to realize that the external would not be able to sustain these needs for me. After my first meditation retreat something happened, my heart burst open. Never in my life I thought that such a profund and deep experience could come after a few days of meditation and silence. Silence has become my greatest teacher. Silence has taught me how to be more accepting about myself and others, how to love when its hard to love and to be grateful for both pleasure and pain. Silence has taught me the language of the heart. I want to dive deeper, to dissolve in to the heart, in to love.
I have now got the opportunity after a year volonteering and studying at a yoga center in Mexico to do a month long solitude retreat in Guatemala mid october to mid november. Because of not working for the last year I hope to get some funding for food and to travel there and back. I am so grateful for anything and nothing. I feel all of your support . Thanks alot . With loads of love and laughter / Rosanna
