"Mommy loves her Chiquita Banana -DeeAnna"

DeeAnna's sister Destiny so tenderly shares,

"Asthma has taken a beautiful life".

On Friday, September 1, 2017, DeeAnna had a severe asthma attack that caused cardiac arrest.

She collapsed at home where CPR was performed until an emergency team arrived.

Upon arrival to the hospital,  medical teams worked for 90 minutes to obtain a heart beat and she was placed on life support.

On September 3rd, it was determined that DeeAnna had zero brain functioning and legally declared deceased.

Sarah Whittle - DeeAnna's mother has made the decision to participate in the organ donation program to carry on her daughters legacy of saving lives and loving science. DeeAnna dreamt of becoming a scientist so this decision supports her interest.

DeeAnna leaves her mother and two siblings residing in Minnesota originally from California. The eldest sister is 18 years of age and just begun college, and the youngest is 10 years of age who also struggles with severe allergies and asthma.

This Single mother of 3 children has several needs.

1. Cremation and celebration of life services
2. Financial Assistance to support the family
3. Relocation Expenses
4. Car repair so that mother can transport the youngest son to asthma specialist in Minneapolis
5. Medical expenses associated with DeeAnna's care

Within just a couple of moments, everything changed for this family. Sarah, Destiny, and Davion will leave the hospital without DeeAnna.

It will take time for this family to adjust and work through the chaotic memories leading to DeeAnna's collapse, the hospitalization that is described as a horrific nightmare, and living life, without a very dear soul that was full of spunk and brought so much joy to the lives of everyone she encountered.

Your generous donations will assist with immediate needs:

1. Rent

2. PGE and Utilities

3. Groceries

4. Cremation and Celebration of Life Services

5. Medical expenses for the care of the youngest son. He suffers from severe allergies and asthma. And given the circumstances, he will receive a pulmonary evaluation and follow up in Minneapolis.

6. Car repair for Transporation

Sarah is very dedicated, loving and a hard working mother.  She relocated her family from California to Minnesota so that her children could live in an environment of better air quality to improve their health.

Understanding this one act of faithfulness can help you understand the senselessness of this loss and Sarah's guilt as the loss of DeeAnna was everything she strived to prevent.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, love, prayers, and support.

These funds will allow the family to focus on healing without the burden of figuring out how to survive.

The funds will also get Sarah, Destiny and Davion home to California as they need the support and love from family.
