Hello,
My name is Derek and I am the Founder / Executive Director of Mascots for a Cure. We are a non profit organization based in Portland, OR with a National reach. We help to fight childhood cancer by bringing children and their families hope, joy, love and positive memories.
We have one of our Courageous Knights..... Declan the Dinosaur, who is not doing very well at all. In fact, he could only have a few weeks to a month left on this earth. Declan is so amazing and has inspired so many of us! His mom, dad and twin brother are so strong and so wonderful and so brave as well!!! His treatments are not working and he was just recently declined for special treatment at St Jude’s because it just won’t work for his little body. It is now more about quality of life. His goal is to stay strong enough to see the new Jurassic World which is coming out this summer. We are also working on trying to get an advanced screening with the film company for him and his family to attend.
We would like to raise enough funds to help send Declan, his brother and his parents to both Universal Studios and Disneyland. This would include 4 tickets to both parks, 4 airline tickets and a hotel for 3-5 days.
We would like to make this a surprise for Declan and his family during his last birthday party (of course dinosaur themed), which will be organized here very very soon!

Please help us with anything that you can! We just cannot imagine the feeling that goes along with losing a child. Together we can all create a special memory for this amazing little dinosaur!
