Katelynn's Cotillion
Hello family and friends,
I hope you are all doing
well. I am so excited to share some good news with you. I am honored to be a
participant in the 2013 Cotillion sponsored by The Ivy Foundation of Northern
Virginia, Inc. (IFNV), the charitable affiliate of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Inc., Zeta Chi Omega Chapter, Arlington, Virginia. This programs targets
economics, develops partnerships, and promotes sisterhood.
I am actively participating in all events
and plan to exhaust all measures to help make this a successful program. Over
the past few months I have worked diligently to add value to this program as a
debutante. Serving seniors, fellowshipping with fellow debutantes and our
families, honoring our time commitments and enjoying time with my mentors are a
few of the awesome activities I have done thus far. Having made new friends and
enjoyed new endeavors, without hesitation I can say I am experiencing the true
goal of the program.
The
objective of the Cotillion is to provide the selected group of young ladies
with the opportunity to enhance our skills in educational, cultural and social
programs. Activities and training sessions provided are geared to motivate us.
Our mentors aim to inspire us to strive for higher standards of living, enhance
confidence, and encourage us to participate in cultural and community service,
as well as solidify career goals. After our six months of activities and
outings, I and ten other young ladies will be presented at the Debutante
Cotillion Ball on
Like
many positive endeavors, there is a financial obligation to be met. I am
appealing to all of my wonderful family and friends in this letter to share
ways in which I can use your support in reaching my financial commitment for
the cotillion. Proceeds contributed to this event will support the National
Program of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., in the Arlington/Alexandria,
Virginia communities. All donations exceeding our financial goal will be
distributed in the form of College Scholarships for Miss. Cotillion and runners
up.
Please know that NO donation is too small and
EVERY donation is greatly appreciated. All donations are also tax deductible.
