CLCP to Uganda

All of us in the Christ Lutheran Church Preschool family see and understand the commitment and passion Ms. Deb Morgans has for this preschool ministry. But not only here at CLCP, she has put in over 25 years of hard work which all has led her to this incredible opportunity. Ms. Deb is heading to Uganda in July to spread God’s work in education working with preschools through Outreach Uganda.
Outreach Uganda is a local nonprofit started by a CLC member that reaches around the world empowering poor people in Uganda so that they can overcome severe poverty and become self-sustaining. Part of this organization is aiding village’s local preschools, secondary schools and empowering students to thrive. Ms. Carol, founder of OU goes twice a year to work with the schools. When she started, the schools were very primitive and now they are in self-sustaining buildings!
“When I first came to CLCP 7 years ago we adopted little Ady from Uganda in the school. We send her money each month through the kindness of our parents to help feed her family and provide her education. She was three years old then and is now eight and thriving! The preschool efforts in Agwata began in my first few years. I was able to help bring ideas to the expanding school, as well as, find others to help send supplies to meet their needs. The preschool now has around 175 students and continues to grow. It is a comparable size to our school which is incredible! I know by going and serving I can help the teacher's further impact the education the preschoolers are receiving by working side by side with them in the classroom. I will also get to meet Ady and her family and bring back wonderful pictures to share with our school. Our children will benefit from my visit when I return with stories of children in another place of our world and understand they are not that much different in wanting to learn and grow! I am so deeply blessed with my calling to CLCP that I feel I can help the efforts of Outreach Uganda in sharing some of the things that make our school here so amazing!
