Hi There,
This is Josh, Debbie's son. I've set up this page to give you all updates on Debbie's condition and to inform those who have not heard about what is happening with Debbie's Battle with Breast Cancer.
Some of you may not be aware, but Debbie first battled Breast Cancer in 2010 and after two years, Debbie had conquered the breast cancer sending into remission.
As of August 2014, Debbie went to the doctor for pain she was experiencing in her upper right torso. After MRI's, Ultrasound, and other tests, the doctors had determined that the cancer had come back aggressively and was already at Stage 4. The cancer had metastised from her right Breast to her Liver and her Colon.
We all praised God when she was able to get admitted to City of Hope. Prior to that, other doctors had told here that there was no hope and that she get her affairs in order. City of Hope put her on a new form of Chemotherapy that wouldn't cause her to lose her hair. We were all pretty excited.
Unfortunately the new Chemotherapy was too strong and caused Debbie a lot of discomfort. They had Debbie discontinue Chemo while they searched for a new solution. In that time,
Debbie has since seen multiple doctors and after much deliberation, it was determined that her cancer was terminal with no hope of the cancer going into remission.
As of Sunday the 2nd of January Debbie was on Hospice at her home with my Dad. We have had many visitors and guests come to keep her company. That said, Debbie is not able to communicate.
Many people have asked how they can help. Without question, Prayer is needed. Prayer for peace for our family and Prayer for my Dad.
This fund has been set up to help cover the medical costs and funeral expenses.
Update: As of January 19th at 8:00pm, Debbie went home to be with Jesus. We will miss her dearly, but we are glad she is no longer suffering. Please continue to pray for my dad and our family as we grieve the loss of one beautiful lady.
