Debra Wall Wood - Heart Transplant

Debra came down with what was thought to be a virus the last week of Jan 2019. She was suffering with severe shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting and generalized weakness. After multiple ER trips and visits to her doctors office, we wind up back in the emergency room with a grim diagnosis of Congestive Heart Failure, with an ejection fraction of 15-20% and a prognosis of 3-5 years to live without a heart transplant. Debra was discharged from the hospital 3 days later so we made an appointment with a specialist in Dallas for the following Wednesday (Today, March 6, 2019) to begin a treatment plan immediately.
After meeting with her new specialist we have a life vest (external defibrillator), a heart Cath (left and right) scheduled for next Friday (March 15, 2019). After the heart Cath is done, then she will have a defibrillator placed. Once she meets all qualifications she then will be eligible for a NEW HEART. It is all a shock and unexpected as she has NEVER been sick. She has had to quit working (she's hoping and praying once this is all over with she can go back part time) or at least find something to do from home. But being without that income, no disability, or any cushion to fall back on has become a major stressor. There will be extra expenses due to her condition that no one was prepared for financially. Medical bills, travel expenses, lodging, food etc. Due to the severity of her condition, there's no waiting time on starting treatment. It's all happening so fast. Any donations would of course be a blessing, but if you are not able to bless her monetarily, please pray for her, her doctors, nurses, and family as they put their lives on hold to care for and be there for Debra in this time.
